The New York State Gaming Commission’s Division of Lottery has won the 2022 Hickey Award for outstanding creative development from the National Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL). The annual award, which recognizes excellence in promotional and strategic marketing, was presented to the New York Lottery for creating nyluckydog.com to promote the $1,000,000 Lucky Dog scratch-off game. “The New York Lottery and McCann New York are proud to be recognized by NASPL for our strategic marketing efforts,” said Lottery Director Gweneth Dean. “Through innovative and exciting campaigns like Lucky Dog, we are able to engage players in a unique and fun way – all for the benefit of New York’s public schools.” At nyluckydog.com, players can enter a Daily Doggo photo contest to share pictures of their dogs on social media; take dog-themed quizzes (created in partnership with Buzzfeed); sign up for a second-chance promotion; and view McCann New York-produced “Road Dogs” commercial and “Wanna Go For A Walk” music video. About the New York Lottery The New York Lottery continues to be North America's largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $3.6 billion in fiscal year 2021-2022 to help support public K-12 education in New York State.
