Mt. Van Hoevenberg's Snowfactory Blows More than 500 Meters of Snow ahead of Camp

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (October 25, 2017) ---
Ten athletes from the U.S. Paralympic Nordic team arrived in Lake Placid, Tuesday, Oct. 24, to begin a week-long training camp at the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Nordic Center. This week’s camp marks the first time that these athletes train on snow this season.

Mt.
Van Hoevenberg began preparing for the camp in early October when it fired up the Technoalpin Snowfactory and began preparing more than 500 meters of snow for these athletes to train on.

During the camp, four athletes are vying for two remaining spots on the U.S. Paralympic Nordic team that will compete in the March 8-18, 2018 Paralympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.

For more information about the camp, contact Kris Cheney-Seymour, Olympic Sports Complex programs manager, email; kcheneyseymour@orda.org, cell, 518-390-3511.
