DEC, DOH, AND DHSES HOLD MEDIA AVAILABILITY TO DISCUSS AIR QUALITY ADVISORY

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Health, and Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services will discuss the impacts and State’s response to smoke from wildfires in Canada and high temperatures that are creating unhealthy air conditions in New York. The current air quality forecast is “Very Unhealthy” in the Eastern Lake Ontario, Central New York, and Western New York regions, “Unhealthy” for the Lower Hudson Valley, New York City Metro, and Long Island regions, and “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” for the rest of the state.
