Due to the Federal Government shutdown, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics delayed sending jobs and labor force data to the State Department of Labor. As a result, the press release schedule for October and November has been revised as follows:

On Thursday, November 21 at 12:30 p.m., final September and preliminary October jobs data by industry for New York State, metro areas and counties as well as labor force data (including unemployment rates) for New York State, New York City and the Balance of State (NYS outside of NYC) region will be released.

On Tuesday, November 26 at 12:30 p.m., both final September and preliminary October labor force data (including unemployment rates) for regions, metro areas, counties and municipalities with at least 25,000 people will be released.

The State Department of Labor does not anticipate a delay in the press release dates scheduled for December 2013.
