Requests for Proposals Sought for Letchworth State ParkBest State Park in America seeking private partners |

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced today two requests for proposals (RFP’s) to provide visitor services in Letchworth State Park. The award-winning park, known as the Grand Canyon of the East, is seeking partners for food, beverage, retail and lodging services. Letchworth State Park welcomes over 750,000 visitors a year. RFP X001332 invites an operator to run nine food, beverage and retail locations throughout the park including the Lower Falls Restaurant. RFP X001331 relates to the operation of the Glen Iris Inn which includes the restaurant, lodging and catering as well as five other lodging facilities throughout the park. The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation oversees more than 250 parks, historic sites, recreational trails, golf courses, boat launches and more, which are visited by 71 million people annually. A recent study found that New York State Parks generates $5 billion in park and visitor spending, which supports nearly 54,000 jobs and over $2.8 billion in additional state GDP. |
