Interested Buyers Must Register Here to Begin Bidding New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced OGS is selling a stainless steel Breitling wristwatch, a gold and diamond ring, and a set of gold and diamond cufflinks on the state’s online surplus property auction site. The ring and jewelry were taken by the New State Attorney General’s Office in a civil forfeiture action against a defendant in a criminal drug case in Niagara County. The two-week online auction of State surplus items will be held at the State of New York Auction Site on GovDeals beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 22. Visitors to the OGS online auction marketplace are required to preregister here before they can start bidding on surplus items. Registration is free. OGS has sold other luxury items seized in enforcement actions by New York State in the past, such as a Bentley, a Lamborghini, and an assortment of sports memorabilia, which included 188 pairs of collectible sneakers.
