So come on out and join us in watching some good family entertainment on these hot summer nights in a free and open-air environment, overlooking the WILLIAMSBURG Summer Nights; Movies in the Park is a public entertainment program presented by NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and sponsored by Biba of New York. Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG) is a grassroots community planning and social/environmental justice organization based in the Northside that has served the broader Williamsburg/Greenpoint waterfront community since 1994. Founded as Neighbors Against Garbage, NAG’s original mission was to connect the underused waterfront of Greenpoint/Williamsburg back into the adjacent neighborhood while preserving the mixed-income and mixed-use character of the community. NAG has fought to achieve much-needed waterfront parkland (including New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation maintains and operates 179 state parks and 35 historic sites.
