ADVISORY: LaGuardia Link Q70 Select Bus Service Fare-Free over Labor Day Weekend

Q70 Bus Link Provides Convenient Connections Between LaGuardia Airport and New York City Subway, Long Island Rail Road

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and the Port Authority will offer free LaGuardia Link Q70 bus service from 12:01 a.m. Friday, September 1, through 11:59 p.m. Monday, September 4. The service is aimed at encouraging use of mass transit and efficiently moving passengers to and from the airport during the travel period over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The LaGuardia Link provides non-stop service linking the main terminals of the airport (Terminals B, C and D) with the New York City Subway and Long Island Rail Road transit hubs in Jackson Heights and Woodside, Queens.

With nearly 500,000 passengers expected to use LaGuardia this holiday weekend, a comprehensive Port Authority traffic management plan has been developed in partnership with the MTA to meet higher-than-normal traveler demand. The Port Authority is committed to providing the region with a brand new LaGuardia Airport, while maintaining airport operations. Plans are in place to ease roadway congestion and facilitate improved passenger movement during the ongoing construction.

In addition, passengers are encouraged to check the airport's website, www.laguardiaairport.com, and sign up for airport info alerts at http://www.airportinfoalerts.com/. This free, mobile subscription service also notifies customers about weather delays and parking lot capacities.
