On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will host a groundbreaking ceremony to announce details and celebrate the commencement of a multifaceted project that will transform Taughannock Falls State Park’s “Overlook,” the popular area from which visitors can easily access breathtaking views of the park's namesake waterfall – one of the outstanding natural attractions of the Northeast. The Finger Lakes park is also home to campsites and cabins that overlook Cayuga Lake, a marina, boat launch, beach and multi-use trails perfect for non-stop enjoyment.
