Lake Placid’s Olympic Center Nominated for Kraft’s Hockeyville™ USA

Vote by visiting https://www.krafthockeyville.com

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- Lake Placid’s Olympic Center is one of 10 finalists for the title of Kraft’s Hockeyville™ USA. This year, Kraft traveled the country looking for America’s most passionate hockey community and in the end 10 made the final count.

While each of the 10 nominees share a passion for the game, only one will come away with the title of Kraft’s Hockeyville™ USA and received $150-thousand in arena upgrades, plus the opportunity to host a NHL preseason hockey game.

“Few arenas can boast the history of Lake Placid’s Olympic Center,” said the center’s general manager Denny Allen.  “The center is home to three rinks, the NHL size ‘USA rink,’ the ‘Jack Shea 1932 Arena,’ built for America’s first Olympic Winter Games, and of course the famous ‘Herb Brooks Arena,’ home to the ‘Miracle on Ice.’

“Just getting this far is a testament to the community.  A lot of people have been involved in the process, especially through social media and I owe them a debt of gratitude.”

Voting for Kraft’s Hockeyville™ USA begins tomorrow, Tuesday, April 12, and continues through Thursday, April 14. To cast your vote, visit www.krafthockeyville.com.

The other nominees for the title are in Bridgewater, Mass.; Geneva, Ill.; Harrisburg, Pa.; Marquette, Mich.; Minnetonka, Minn.; Minot, ND; North Rockland Hills, Texas; Rapid City, SD and Rockville, Md.

In addition to the grand prize of $150-thousand in arena upgrades, two first place prizes of $25-thousand will also be awarded, as well as six second place prizes of $10-thousand for arena upgrades.
