The New York State Department of Labor today announced that it will partner with the Onondaga Cortland Madison BOCES to host a Community Services Fair offering information to more than 450 adult students about services and programs in the community in Central New York .  The fair is open to adult students who are currently in vocation training and literacy programs

“There’s a sense of imminent success at this event that’s quite remarkable,” said State Labor Commissioner Peter M. Rivera.  “We’re witnessing the business and educational communities come together to support enthusiastic individuals on their road to long-term employment. These students have made a path for themselves – and the outpouring of support from the business and educational communities through events like this is a testament to these students and their dedication.”

The career fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30, at the OCM BOCES Career Training Center located at 4500 Crowd Road, in Liverpool, NY.  The event is hosted by OCM BOCES and the New York State Department of Labor.

A New York State Department of Labor Business Services Representative will be on hand to provide information on Department of Labor programs and services, including the On the Job Training (OJT)/National Emergency Grant (NEG) program, Jobs Express, Work for Success, WOTC, VOW Tax Credit, and services offered at the 95 New York State Career Centers statewide.
