State Parks Announces 2014 Camping Season Improvements, Promotions at Future Schodack Island Campground

State Parks officials will discuss the 2014 summer camping season kicking off Memorial Day weekend, and highlight a future Capital District camping destination. Construction is underway on the 63-site campground at Schodack Island State Park, the first new major campground built by State Parks in decades.

The event will be held rain or shine in a new campground loop, just beyond the park office. Schodack Island State Park is located off of Route 9J, south of Castleton-on-Hudson.
