On July 9, 2013, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), American Red Cross and the National Swimming Pool Foundation will kick-off the expanded Learn to Swim program at Roberto Clemente State Park at 9:15am.

Sixty children will be taking part in the morning Learn to Swim session (9:00AM – 9:45AM) and will be available with their parents for interviews.

The expanded 2013 Learn to Swim program offers a total of 12, two week swim sessions, this summer at both Roberto Clemente State Park and Riverbank State Park and will teach more than 500 children (ages 6-12) to swim for free. Children will receive a free swim cap and a Learn to Swim Certificate of Completion.
