State Parks Commissioner Erik Kulleseid visits Delta Lake State Park in Oneida County to kick off Parks 7th Annual NYS Parks Free Learn-to-Swim Program

Commissioner Kulleseid will kick-off the 7th annual free Learn-to-Swim program by welcoming swim class participants at Delta Lake State Park.  The annual program is offered at more than two dozen state parks across the state. Program partners including the American Red Cross will speak to the importance of learning how to swim and safely enjoying New York’s State Park beaches all summer long. 

The event will feature a Learn-to-Swim class taught by NYS Park lifeguards.

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation oversees more than 250 parks, historic sites, recreational trails, golf courses, boat launches and more, which are visited by 74 million people annually.
