Buffalo, NY (June 30, 2020) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Roofers, Local Union #210, will conduct a recruitment from July 13, 2020 through July 11, 2021 for 15 Roofer apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today.

Applications can be obtained from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period, at the following locations:

• Jamestown - Jamestown Roofing, Inc., 119 Clifton Ave., Jamestown, NY
• Dunkirk - A.W. Farrell & Son, Inc., 3761 East Lake Rd., Dunkirk, NY
• Erie, Pennsylvania - Roofers Local Union #210, 4901 East Lake Rd., Erie, PA
• Online - Applications will also be available online at www.rooferslocal210.com

Applications must be received no later than July 11, 2021.

The Committee requires that applicants:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma (such as TASC or GED).
• Must have reliable transportation to and from various job sites and required classes at the approved school.
• Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license in order to operate company vehicles.

Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner.
