SELDEN, N.Y. – The New York Lottery today announced a lucky New York Lottery player will pocket an additional $3,000,000 on a winning ticket from the November 4 Mega Millions drawing. The player bought a regular Quick Pick ticket for $1 and selected the Megaplier option for an additional dollar. The Megaplier for the November 4 drawing was four, so instead of winning $1,000,000, the player will receive $4,000,000 for only an additional dollar.

The Megaplier is a special feature that allows a player to multiply the original prize amount. Megaplier players can multiply their Mega Millions prizes by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times (not including the jackpot). The Megaplier number is picked at random before each drawing.

“The Megaplier feature really paid off for this lucky New York Lottery player,” said Gardner Gurney, Acting Director of the Division of the Lottery. “For only an additional dollar, this person quadrupled his or her money. I would advise the player to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they are ready to claim their prize at the Lottery.”

The $4,000,000 Mega Millions ticket was sold at the King Kullen store at 307 Independence Plaza on Route 25 in Selden, Suffolk County.

The winning numbers for the November 4 Mega Millions drawing were 09–15–24–39–41 and Mega Ball 01.

This is not the first time a King Kullen store has sold a big Mega Millions winning ticket. For the December 27, 2011 Mega Millions drawing, Daniel Bruckner of San Jose, California, purchased his $208,000,000 winning ticket at the King Kullen at 1235 Middle Country Road in Middle Island.

In addition to the $4,000,000 Megaplier prize, the $326 million jackpot-winning ticket for the November 4 Mega Millions drawing was also sold in New York. The sole winning ticket, purchased as a Quick Pick, was sold at the Valero gas station at 2580 Route 302 in Middletown, Orange County. As of November 6, no one has claimed the jackpot prize.

November 4 was also a lucky day for a TAKE 5 Lottery player. A top prize winning ticket worth $33,852.50 was sold at Vandana Enterprises, Inc., at 163 Clarke Street in Brentwood. The winning numbers for the November 4 TAKE 5 drawing were 04-06-15-33-34.

The winners may claim the tickets at any one of the Lottery’s Customer Service Centers statewide, including the Lottery’s Long Island office at 45 South Service Road, Plainview, NY 11803. To learn more about how to redeem a prize, click here.
