The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced the locations of five Open Houses and one additional pop-up site in partnership with the Mobile Sales team to expand outreach and further engage with customers in person and gather feedback on the latest version of the Queens Bus Network Redesign. Open house events are larger outreach events held indoors and are scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the following dates and locations:

• Thursday, April 18: King Manor Museum (inside Rufus King Park), 150-03 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica
• Wednesday, May 1: Queensboro Community College in the Administration Building Lobby, 222-05 56th Ave, Queens
• Thursday, May 2: Challenge Charter High School, 15-20 Central Avenue, Far Rockaway
• Thursday, May 9: The Helen Marshall Cultural Center at Queens Borough Hall, 120-55 Queens Blvd, Kew Gardens
• Thursday, May 16: Variety Boys and Girls Club, 21-12 30th Road, Astoria

Customers can drop by any open house any time between 5:00 p.m. and 8:30p.m. to learn more about the project, speak with MTA staff, and share their feedback. Details on the Open Houses are also listed online. Last month, the Authority announced 17 pop-up sites, five in partnership with the Mobile Sales team. Since then, an additional event has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 in Maspeth, for a total of 18 pop-up sites, of which 14 remain.

“Queens residents rely on good bus service and their feedback is integral to the development of a new, modern bus network that delivers the service improvements Queens bus riders deserve,” said New York City Transit Senior Vice President of Buses Frank Annicaro.

In case of inclement weather, pop-up events may be rescheduled so customers are advised to check the project webpage before heading to an event. The pop-up events listed below will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.:

• Wednesday, April 3: Myrtle-Wyckoff   subway station. Due to inclement weather, this event will be held inside, instead of the Pedestrian Plaza as previously advertised.
• Wednesday, April 3: Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St   inside the subway station. This event will be held inside the station due to inclement weather.
• Monday, April 8: Diversity Plaza near Jackson Heights 74 St-Roosevelt Av      subway station (between Broadway & 74 St).
• Tuesday, April 9: Woodhaven Blvd southbound bus median outside the Rockaway Blvd  subway station (in front of PC Richard & Son).
• Monday, April 15: Queens Village LIRR Station, at the corner of Springfield Blvd and Amboy Ln.
• Tuesday, April 16: Union Tpke and Utopia Pkwy, on the southeast corner.
• Wednesday, April 17: Lefferts Blvd-AirTrain Station, near the Q3, Q10, and B15 bus stops.
• Wednesday, April 17: Queens Plaza South and 28 St, on the southwest corner of the intersection.

Mobile Sales schedules are also subject to change and are weather dependent, so customers are advised to check the website before visiting.

• Monday, April 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Ditmars Blvd and 23 Av, Astoria.
• Tuesday, April 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Bay Terrace Shopping Center, Bell Blvd and 24 Av, Bay Terrace
• Tuesday, April 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Rochdale Community Center, Rochdale
• Thursday, April 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Allen Community Senior Citizens Center, Jamaica.
• Tuesday, April 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Grand Ave and 69 St, Maspeth.
• Friday, May 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Rego Center Mall, outside Marshall’s, Rego Park.

The public is encouraged to visit the Queens Bus Network Redesign project webpage and see individual route profiles to learn more about their bus route and of any proposed changes. The route profiles provide a helpful summary of proposed changes, frequencies, and a map clearly outlining the new and existing routings, and portions where service is either discontinued, shortened or extended.

With the release of the Proposed Final Plan in December 2023, the MTA also launched the Future Trip Planner, which allows customers to input a start and end location and see an overview of their trip with the bus route changes in effect. Comments can be submitted via the online form and on the interactive Remix map, both found on the project webpage.
