MEET SOME “REAL HOUSEWIVES” AT THE GREAT NEW YORK STATE FAIR

Members of Three ‘Housewives’ Casts to Take Questions, Greet Fans

The Great New York State Fair has always been great.  Now, it’s about to get “Real.”  Three members of the casts of the hit reality TV franchise “The Real Housewives” will appear at the Fair’s Midway Music Series stage on Friday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m.  Time Warner Cable sponsors the Midway Music Series stage.

Appearing will be:

Teresa Giudice, of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Giudice has written three cookbooks of Italian cuisine, all of which landed on the New York Times Bestseller List and is starting a line of imported Italian gourmet foods.  She and her husband recently lost a home to Tropical Storm Sandy.

Tamra Barney of the Real Housewives of Orange County. Barney is a licensed real estate agent, operator of an online charity, and owner of a fitness center.  In June, she married Eddie Judge.  Their wedding and the preparations for it were videotaped for a three-part series to air in September.

Jill Zarin, formerly of The Real Housewives of New York. Zarin, since leaving the show after its fourth season, has launched lines of clothing and jewelry and has continued her philanthropic work to fight the arthritic diseases that afflict her daughter and stepson.

They will discuss their on-air careers and off-camera lives with 93Q host and Real Housewives fanatic Amy Robbins, one of the official voices of the Great New York State Fair.  Afterwards, they plan to sign autographs for fans.

The New York State Fair runs from August 22 – September 2, 2013.  The Fair’s theme is “Sharing the Bounty and Pride of New York.”

In addition to the annual New York State Fair, the Fairgrounds host dozens of agricultural events throughout the year, including some of the Northeast’s most prestigious horse and livestock shows.

The home of the Great New York State Fair is a 375-acre exhibit and entertainment complex that operates all year. A year-round schedule of events is available on the Fair’s website.  Find The Great New York State Fair on Facebook or follow NYS Fair on Twitter. Also, New Yorkers are invited to send their ideas on the Great New York State Fair at statefairideas@agriculture.ny.gov.
