OGS TO HOLD PUBLIC AUCTION FOR TWO VACANT PARCELS IN LONG LAKE

New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner RoAnn M. Destito today announced a public auction of two state-owned properties located in the Town of Long Lake, Hamilton County will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, October 30. The vacant parcels are on Kickerville Lane and are being auctioned separately. The auction will take place in Long Lake Town Hall, 1204 Main Street, with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Description of Parcel # 1:                                                       

Tax Map ID: 25.008-2-20.120:  This property is approximately 2.49 acres of unimproved, predominantly wooded land with a section that has been partially cleared. It has approximately 300 feet of frontage along Kickerville Lane with access to municipal water and electric service at the road. The parcel is located within the Adirondack Park. 

The parcel is marked with a “For Sale” sign and is available for self-inspection.

Minimum Bid:

$7,500 ($750 deposit required to bid)

Description of Parcel # 2:

Tax Map ID:  25.008-2-20.200:  The property is approximately 2.45 acres of unimproved, wooded land. It has approximately 225 feet of frontage along Kickerville Lane with access to municipal water and electric service at the road. The parcel is located within the Adirondack Park. 

The parcel is marked with a “For Sale” sign and is available for self-inspection.

Minimum Bid:

$10,000 ($1,000 deposit required to bid)

Terms for the properties:

The properties are being sold “as-is.” Prospective bidders are encouraged to obtain professional advice, prior to the public sale, to ensure compliance with building codes and any planned use of the property. They are also encouraged to contact a financial institution prior to the auction in order to obtain pre-contract credit clearance and borrowing guidelines.

Interested bidders will be required to present an initial deposit in the form of a certified check or bank draft in order to register. Checks should be made payable to either the Commissioner of General Services or the bidder.

A 5 percent broker’s commission will be paid by the State of New York at the time of the closing to a qualified real estate broker who represents the successful bidder. Bidder and broker affidavits must be submitted to OGS Legal Services by noon on Monday, October 29.
