March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month. To that end, the New York State Gaming Commission, Rivers Casino & Resort and the New York Council on Problem Gambling will hold a news conference to talk about the coordinated actions taken by the Commission, operators and social service providers to combat problem gambling and help those who may have a gambling problem. This year’s theme, Awareness + Action, is about taking action, having a conversation about problem gambling and helping people get the help they need. This is the first event in a series to be held this month at casino and VLT properties around the state.
