LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Aug. 12, 2019) – Reigning U.S. women’s singles champion Alysa Liu headlines a field of more than 100 figure skaters, from 32 countries, competing in the Aug. 29-31, 2019 ISU Junior Grand Prix Lake Placid figure skating competition. Entering its 23rd season, the Junior Grand Prix Series consists of seven international events and the top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2019, Dec. 5-8 in Torino, Italy. Tickets for the Lake Placid event are on sale now through the Olympic Center box office, or on-line by visiting https://www.whiteface.com/events/isu-junior-grand-prix-figure-skating. Adult all-event admission is $30, while the junior and senior all-event ticket is priced at $20. The adult single-day ticket is on sale for $15 and the junior and senior single-day ticket price is $10. More than 100 athletes from 32 nations are expected to compete to include: 2019 U.S. women’s singles champion Alysa Liu, 2019 U.S. junior men’s champion Ryan Dunk, 2019 U.S. junior pairs silver medalists Kate Finster and Balazs Nagy and 2019 U.S. junior ice dance silver medalists Avonley Nguyen and Vadym Kolesnik. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2019, Dec. 5-8 in Torino, Italy. All media attending the Aug. 29-31, 2019 Junior Grand Prix Lake Placid figure skating competition must be credentialed.
