ADVISORY: MTA Announces Winners of MTA Genius Transit Challenge |

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will announce the winners of the MTA Genius Transit Challenge on Friday, March 9, 2018. The MTA launched the international competition last June to seek innovative solutions to modernize and improve the reliability of the New York City subway system for riders, which opened in 1904. Nineteen finalists were announced in December 2017.
The MTA asked creative minds around the world for the best ideas in the following categories: signals, subway cars and communications. The MTA will be working with technology, business and transportation leaders to help implement these ideas and continuing to generate other new innovations to improve service for riders going forward.
