What: Candle Lighting in Honor of Suicide Awareness and Prevention

Where: Empire State Plaza, North reflecting pool, nearest the Capitol Building

When: October 4, 2018 at 6:15pm

The New York State Office of Mental Health, together with the Albany County Executive’s office, will join local advocates and suicide loss survivors for a “Lights of Hope” ceremony.

Floating lights will be placed into the reflecting pool after a brief speaking agenda.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Observation Deck of Corning Tower.

Participants and guests should proceed through the Concourse level of the Corning Tower, take the escalator to the Plaza Level of the Corning Tower and proceed to the Observation Deck via the automatic elevators. There will be security at the front desk and at the elevators to direct participants where to go.

The Tower is locked on the Plaza level at 6:00pm, access is only through the Concourse after that time.
