Electricians Recruit Apprentices |

Niagara Falls, NY (June 28, 2022) – The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Niagara County Electricians Local Union #237 will conduct a recruitment from August 11, 2022 through August 10, 2023 for one Electrician (Housewire or Residential) apprentices and 10 Electrician apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the openings listed for apprentices represent the total number for two recruitment regions - the Finger Lakes and Western regions. Applications are available at Local #237, 6700 Schultz Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every Wednesday, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Applications are also available online at www.ibew237.com/application-process at all times. Application may be mailed to the address above or placed in the secure drop box outside the building at the same address. Each applicant must sign and submit an affidavit (available online and in office) along with the application. All applications must be returned by August 10, 2023 in person or postmarked by August 10, 2023 if returned by mail. Applicants must pay a $10.00 testing fee for in-house administration of an aptitude test. Applicants may request that this fee be waived. Fee waivers will be approved upon showing verifiable proof of financial need. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
