Ironworkers Recruit Apprentices |

Buffalo, NY (August 17, 2021) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) for Ironworkers, Local Union #9, will conduct a recruitment from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022 for 20 Ironworker (Outside) apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Applications can be obtained in person at the JATC, Local Union #9, 412 39th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Applications are also available online during the recruitment period at www.ironworkers9.org. Applicants must download and print the online application to complete it. A resume must be submitted at the time of submitting an application. Completed applications and resumes can be dropped off in person at 412 39th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303, Monday through Friday (excluding legal holidays) between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Completed applications and resumes can also be mailed to the same address. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
