Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge Closed To All Traffic Thursday morning, May 19th, 12:01 AM to 5 AM

The Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge will be fully closed to all traffic during the early morning hours on Thursday, May 19, for maintenance work on the bridge’s lift span.

The closure will take place from 12:01 a.m. through 5:00 a.m. All traffic will be detoured to the Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge during this time. The exception is the Q35 bus, which will have special arrangements for crossing.

Electronic signs will be placed along the Belt Parkway and Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn and along Rockaway Point Blvd. and Beach Channel Drive in the Rockaways, notifying motorists to use the Cross Bay Bridge.

Customers should sign up for MTA customer email/text message alerts or to check the Service Status box at www.mta.info for the latest on closures and planned work at MTA’s seven bridges and two tunnels.
