and the 12th time at historic 1980 Rink - Herb Brooks Arena, Lake Placid N.Y., which hosted the league’s marquee

event from 1993-2002 and 2014. The four top teams coming from the league’s quarterfinal tournament round will battle it out on the ice looking to capture the Whitelaw Cup and an automatic bid to the 68th annual NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey Tournament. The two semifinal games will take place Friday, March 20 at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and the championship game will be played Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $50 for adults (ages 13-64), and $40 for juniors (12 & under) and seniors (65 & older), along with a special student ticket of $20 available, student identification card required, at the campuses of the four participating teams and a special designated ticket window at the 1980 Rink - Herb Brooks Arena Box Office.

Cornell (1967–70, 1973, 1980, 1986, 1996–97, 2003, 2005, 2010) leads all squads claiming 12 tournament titles, followed

by Harvard’s (1963, 1971, 1983, 1987, 1994, 2002, 2004, 2006) eight championships, and St. Lawrence’s (1962,

1988–89, 1992, 2000–01) six crowns.

Last year, In the championship’s return to Lake Placid, Union claimed its third consecutive title by downing Colgate,

5-2 en route to an eventual national championship. The three consecutive tournament titles are only bettered by

Cornell, which earned tournament championships from 1967-70 and Boston University mirrored the Big Red accomplishment,

claiming four of its own from 1974-1977.
