Henry Hudson Bridge Northbound Plaza Lane Closures Start Nov. 25, 2016

The upper level northbound (to Bronx) toll plaza at the Henry Hudson Bridge will be reduced to two lanes beginning Friday, November 25, 2016, for a duration of up to four weeks.  The closure is necessary to accommodate the work zone for demolition of the upper level toll booths and supporting structures, as the bridge moves to a fully Open Road Cashless Tolling operation.

During this round-the-clock closure, which will shift position as the demolition and resurfacing proceeds, three northbound Henry Hudson Parkway traffic lanes will taper down to two on the approach to the plaza, and reopen to three lanes on the main span of the bridge.

The booths, canopy and islands will be dismantled and the roadway will be restriped after their removal. This demo operation is expected to take four weeks or less, depending on weather.

Motorist are advised to expect northbound delays and plan accordingly.

Motorists can sign up for MTA e-mail or text alerts at www.mta.info and check the Bridges and Tunnels homepage or Facebook page for the latest information.
