COMMISSIONER REARDON HOSTS UTICA RECRUITMENT DAY17 Businesses to Offer 339 Job Opportunities; Event is Part of Commissioner’s Statewide Tour to Promote Local Hiring |

New York State Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon today announced that the first Recruitment Day in her statewide tour will be held Wednesday, June 14th at the Working Solutions One-Stop Career Center, located at 207 Genesee St., Suite 202 in Utica. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with 17 businesses offering 339 job opportunities are expected to attend. “Recruitment events are always exciting for businesses and job seekers alike,” said Commissioner Reardon. “For businesses, these events offer a unique opportunity to survey local talent, and for job seekers, they offer the face-to-face meeting that can make the difference in getting that new job they’re after. The Department of Labor is pleased to be able to facilitate these events and I look forward to a productive day in Utica!” At Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s direction, Commissioner Reardon will be traveling throughout the state in order to facilitate Recruitment Day events to promote hiring local workers. She will also be meeting with union leadership to discuss regional issues.
