The New York Lottery today announced that two third prize winning Power Play tickets worth $100,000 for the January 25, 2023 Powerball® drawing were purchased in New York. The winning tickets each have four matching numbers and the Powerball.  

The prize-winning tickets were purchased at Smokes 4 Less in Newburgh and the Stop & Shop store at 250 Pond Path in South Setauket.

The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing on January 25 are: 9-17-20-38-40 and the Powerball is 18. Players can securely check their tickets on the New York Lottery app.

The Power Play multiplier for Wednesday drawing is 2, which means the third place prize – not including the jackpot – was doubled to $100,000.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Powerball number is drawn from a separate field one to of 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m.

The jackpot for the drawing to be held Saturday night is an estimated $572 milion.
