Transit Leaders Thank Frontline Subway and Bus Workers at South Ferry as MTA Delivers Safe Service to Keep New Yorkers Moving During Storm New York City Transit Interim President Sarah Feinberg and MTA Bus Company President Craig Cipriano thanked frontline subway and bus workers at the South Ferry subway and bus terminal this evening as the MTA’s frontline heroes delivered safe service across the metropolitan region amid the onset of the winter storm. The MTA urges customers to avoid traveling unless necessary. For those who must travel, the MTA suggests checking new.mta.info for the latest service updates before traveling, and to use extreme caution while navigating the system, especially on outdoor platforms and stairs. Customers should sign up for real-time service alerts via text or email. These alerts are also available via the MTA’s apps: MYmta, Metro-North Train Time and Long Island Rail Road Train Time. See yesterday's announcement for more on the MTA’s ongoing storm preparations. |
