Metro-North Best Way to Travel to Garth Brooks Concerts At Yankee Stadium Next Weekend

Railroad to Provide Special, Enhanced Service to Yankees-East 153rd Street Station

 

MTA Metro-North Railroad will provide extra train service to the Yankees-East 153rd Street station for customers traveling to the Garth Brooks concerts at Yankee Stadium on Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9, at 8:30 p.m.  With sell-out crowds expected for both concerts at Yankee Stadium, riding Metro-North is the most convenient and safest way to get there on-time.   
 
Metro-North’s special schedule for the concerts will feature: 
 
  • Direct service on the New Haven, Harlem and Hudson Lines.
  • Convenient shuttle service from Grand Central Terminal and the Harlem-125th Street Station, to the Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station.
 
On Friday, July 8:
  • On the Hudson Line, most trains stop at the Yankees-East 153rd Street station before and after the concert.
  • On the Harlem Line, a Yankee Clipper will depart Southeast at 4:25 p.m. and arrive at the venue at 5:47 p.m.
  • On the New Haven Line, a Yankee Clipper will depart New Haven at 4:10 p.m. and arrive at 6:05 p.m.
  • From Grand Central Terminal and Harlem-125th Street, shuttle trains operate to/from the Yankees-East 153rd Street Station; these shuttles also provide convenient connections with Harlem and New Haven Line trains for customers who do not take one of the direct trains.
 
On Saturday, July 9:
  • On the Hudson Line on Saturday an extra concert train will depart Poughkeepsie at 6:07 p.m. and arrive at the venue at 7:30 p.m.
  • On the Harlem Line on Saturday direct trains depart Southeast at 5:05 p.m. and 6:05 p.m. arriving at 6:27 p.m. and 7:27 p.m. respectively.
  • On the New Haven Line, direct trains depart New Haven at 4:14 p.m. and 5:14 p.m. arriving at 6:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. respectively. There also will be an all-stop local departing Stamford at 5:41 p.m. arriving 6:42 p.m.
  • From Grand Central Terminal and Harlem-125th Street, shuttle trains operate to/from the Yankees-East 153rd Street Station; these shuttles also provide convenient connections with Harlem and New Haven Line trains for customers who do not take one of the direct trains.
