One Lane Closed on the Bronx to Manhattan Ramp of the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge

Starting Friday, October 26th at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, one lane will be closed on the RFK Bronx to Manhattan ramp to accommodate a roadway deck replacement project on the former toll plaza area.

The rehabilitation work will take place over three stages and will include the removal and replacement of selected areas of the roadway deck and the replacement of existing roadway joints. This project is anticipated to be completed by Spring 2020 and will create a smoother riding surface for motorists.

All three travel lanes to and from Manhattan on the main RFK Manhattan Bridge span will be maintained throughout construction.

Motorists should allow for additional travel time or consider an alternate route.

Motorists can sign up for MTA e-mail or text alerts at www.mymtaalerts.com and check the Bridges and Tunnels homepage or Facebook page for the latest information on this planned work.
