Sheet Metal Workers Recruit Apprentices |

Buffalo, NY (September 7, 2021) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Sheet Metal Workers, Local Union #71, will conduct a recruitment from November 6, 2021 through November 5, 2022 for 10 Sheet Metal Worker apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the 10 openings listed for apprentices represent the total number for two recruitment regions - the Finger Lakes and Western regions of the state. Applicants without the ability to complete the online application can go to Local Union #71, 24 Liberty Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215 to be provided with a device to complete the application online, during the recruitment period. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
