ADVISORY: Metro-North to Celebrate Release of Red-Tailed Hawk Whose Life Was Saved by Train Engineer |

Metro-North Railroad President Catherine Rinaldi will commend the train engineer and MTA Police officers involved in the rescue of a red-tailed hawk from Metro-North tracks in Wilton, Conn. Quick action by the engineer and officers saved the hawk’s life. Following five months of rehabilitation for a broken wing, the hawk is being released back into the wild on Thursday, Oct. 21. Video of the hawk's release in the nearby Connecticut woods will be shown on monitors at the news conference.
