What:        Dedication of the Jones Beach Shared Use Path/Announcement of Park Improvements

When:      10:15 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2019

Where:     Jones Beach State Park, Parking Field #1

The new leisure trail offers walkers, skaters, runners and cyclists stunning views of one of New York’s most popular and beautiful state parks. The completed path runs now from Jones Beach Field 6 then along the picturesque Jones Beach Boardwalk to West End 2.

 

Directions:

  • From the West -Take Southern State Parkway to exit 22 Meadowbrook Parkway South.
  • Meadowbrook South to end and it will turn onto Ocean Parkway Eastbound.
  • Field #1 will be immediately on right.

 

  • From the Wantagh Parkway South to end at Water Tower (Ocean Parkway).
  • Make right onto Ocean Parkway Westbound. Field #1 will be on left.

 

  • From the East – Ocean Parkway Westbound into Jones Beach State Park.
  • Ocean Parkway Westbound, past Water Tower for ½ mile to second turnaround in median.
  • Field #1 will be on right.
