Updated: MEDIA ADVISORY: MTA Capital Projects Public Hearing to Be Held on Feb. 8

Public Invited to Attend Public Hearing In Person or via Zoom

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will hold a public hearing to solicit comments on MTA’s federal grant proposals for Federal Fiscal Year 2022 in person and via Zoom on Tuesday, Feb. 8. The public is invited to attend and provide feedback on the MTA’s requests for financial assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the U.S. Department of Transportation for various MTA capital projects.

All visitors who plan to attend the public hearing in person at 2 Broadway on Tuesday, Feb. 8, must wear a mask and show proof of fully vaccinated status. Anyone who fails to provide proof of vaccination status will not be admitted to 2 Broadway for the purpose of attending the public hearing. Masks must remain on for the duration of the hearing but may be removed when delivering comments.

Those interested in speaking in person or via Zoom must pre-register to speak at the public hearing. Each registered speaker will have three minutes.

Those who are unable to attend the public hearing, in person or virtually, but wish to submit comments may do so online or via mail. All letters must be postmarked by Feb. 8, 2022, and all online comments must be submitted by 6:00 p.m. on Feb. 8. Comments received after that date and time will not be considered.

Those who are interested in speaking can either register online, by calling the Public Hearing Hotline at 646-252-6777, or in person. In order to comment at the public hearing via Zoom, your Zoom screen name must be your actual full name.
