Albany Warehouse Auction Scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 

Vehicle and Equipment Auction to Take Place Wednesday, April 6 

New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced the Spring 2022 State surplus auction season will kick off with two public, in-person auctions at the W. Averell Harriman State Office Building Campus in Albany on April 5 and 6.

On Tuesday, April 5, OGS will conduct a warehouse auction with approximately 5,000 pieces of surplus furniture and equipment divided among more than 250 lots. The auction will include chairs, desks, tables, computer equipment, file cabinets, storage lockers, bookcases, fire extinguishers, office supplies, and more.

On Wednesday, April 6, OGS will hold a surplus vehicle and equipment auction featuring approximately 175 cars and trucks as well as skid steers, loaders, salters, riding mowers, lifts, auto parts, utility terrain vehicles, fuel tanks, bicycles, jewelry, and janitorial equipment. Also, just in time for the spring cleaning, summer landscaping, and building renovation seasons, OGS will be selling surplus pool covers, sidewalk tree grates, window-washing rig equipment, scaffolding, and granite slabs at this auction.

All bidders must register to participate in the individual auctions. Bidders can preregister online here to avoid waiting in line during the on-site registration periods.

• The auction starts at 9:30 a.m.
• Location – Building 18 Warehouse, Harriman State Office Building Campus, 1220 Washington Avenue, Albany
• Parking is available in the “T-Lot” directly behind Building 18
• Payments are due within 30 minutes of the close of the auction by cash or credit card only.
• Successful bidders will have10 business days following the auction to remove their purchased items.

• Successful bidders will have four business days to remove their purchased items, not including the day of the auction.
