When: Wednesday June 27, 2018 – 10:00 a.m. What: Hearing on potentially eliminating the tip credit system in New York State. This hearing is for workers in hospitality industries only. Who: Commissioner of Labor Roberta Reardon and other Department of Labor officials Where: Assembly Hall, Hunter College, 68th Street campus, 695 Park Avenue, Manhattan Media RSVP: About the Subminimum Wage Hearings On Dec. 17, 2017, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo directed the Commissioner of Labor to hold public hearings to examine industries and evaluate the possibility of ending minimum wage tip credits in New York State. This hearing is last of seven that have been scheduled throughout the State. Testimony will be heard from academic experts, workers, business owners and elected officials, among others. Currently, approximately 350 individuals have registered to speak at this hearing. |
