Six Companies Receive New York State Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Certification

Office of General Services Commissioner RoAnn Destito today announced that the following six businesses have recently been certified by the Office of General Services’ (OGS) Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development (DSDVBD):  

  • Arbor Oaks Landscaping Inc., located in Patchogue, NY, is a commercial landscaper.
  • Sampson’s Construction, located in New Hampton, NY, specializes in removal and replacement of sewer pipes.
  • A V Maintenance Supplies Inc. d/b/a/ Boss Maintenance, located in Holtsville, NY, supplies janitorial equipment.
  • GC&V Construction LLC, located in Calverton, NY, specializes in concrete construction.
  • Verus Fidelis Group LLC, located in New York, NY, provides owner’s representative project and facilities management.
  • Arbor Oaks Landscaping Inc., located in Patchogue, NY, is a commercial landscaper.
  • Torvalsen Marine Service LLC, located in Pearl River, AL, specializes in marina and waterfront construction management. 

The Division was created by Governor Andrew Cuomo in May, 2014 with enactment of the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act. As of June 11, 2018, a total of 497 businesses have been certified.

The Act promotes and encourages participation of SDVOBs in NYS public procurements of public works, commodities, services and technology to foster and advance economic development in the State.
