MEDIA ADVISORY FOR TUESDAY, AUGUST 6New York State Agencies, U.S. EPA, City of Albany to Announce Major Clean Water Project Milestones in the City of Albany |

The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation, the Department of Environmental Conservation, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the City of Albany will announce the completion of the $55 million Beaver Creek Clean River Project in the City. Construction of an associated project that will enhance the impact of the Beaver Creek system is breaking ground with the support of a State grant and funding from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The projects will dramatically improve water quality in the Hudson River and positively impact quality of life for residents.
WHEN: Tuesday, August 6. A media tour of the completed Beaver Creek Satellite Treatment Facility starting 9:30 a.m., followed by a press conference starting at 10 a.m.
WHERE: 6 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Albany, NY 12208. Parking will be available at Lincoln Park, the former Sunshine School, or the Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology.
Please wear safe, sturdy shoes suitable for touring the wastewater treatment facility. |
