Albany, NY (April 1, 2020) - The Finishing Trades Institute of New York at Albany, District Council # 9, Local Union #201, will conduct a recruitment from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 for five painter and decorator (structural steel and bridges) apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the five openings listed for apprentices represent the total number for three recruitment regions - the Capital District, Mohawk Valley, and North Country regions. Applications can be obtained at The Finishing Trades Institute of New York at Albany Training Center, 191 Broadway, Menands, NY, every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner.
