DEC Forest Rangers & Employees Return From Fighting California Wildfire

Crew Spent Two Weeks Helping to Contain the Mad River Complex Wildfires

Crew Members Available to Talk to Media Upon Their Return

WHO: The New York firefighting crew including rangers, employees and volunteers across the state, DEC Assistant Commissioner for Public Protection and Regional Affairs, Chris Ballantyne.

WHAT: A 20-member New York firefighting crew that traveled to the State of California to assist in the containment of the Mad River Complex wildfires will return to New York. The crew, comprised of DEC forest rangers, employees and volunteers had been working to contain the 37,000 +acre wildfires in Trinity County, California for the past two weeks.

WHERE: Saratoga Tree Nursery, 2369 Ballston Ave., Saratoga Springs
