NYS OFFICE OF GENERAL SERVICES WINS 2024 NATIONAL AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN PROCUREMENTOGS Receives Recognition for Eight Consecutive Years |

New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced that OGS has received the prestigious 2024 Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® (AEP) award from the National Procurement Institute, Inc. This marks the eighth consecutive year that OGS has received an AEP award.
“The OGS Procurement Services team is proud to be recognized by the National Procurement Institute for eight consecutive years for their hard work, innovation, professionalism, and leadership in public procurement,” Commissioner Moy said. “The team’s dedication and continued pursuit of excellence have led to innovations in procurement that support the crucial missions of our government partners and create opportunities for a wide variety of companies, big and small, to do business with the state.”
OGS Procurement Services is the state’s centralized procurement office. OGS manages approximately 1,500 contracts for commodities, services, and technology that State agencies, local governments, schools, and non-profit organizations depend on to fulfill their essential public missions.

The AEP program encourages the development of excellence as well as continued organizational improvement to earn the award annually.
For 2024, there were 198 successful applicants, including 72 cities, 49 counties, 25 special districts, 23 school districts, 16 higher education agencies, five state or provincial agencies, and eight others.
Focused on leading excellence in public procurement, the National Procurement Institute was founded in 1968 as a non-profit organization that serves public procurement professionals internationally. The organization established the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award in 1995.
