The New York Lottery will give away exciting prizes each day at the Great New York State Fair this year, including fantastic trips across New York that showcase all our state has to offer.

The Lottery is giving away I Love New York travel prizes to players who purchase a Lotto ticket totaling $10 or more at the State Fair and at thousands of Lottery retailers across upstate New York. All they have to do is visit the Play the Fair kiosks at the Lottery’s Players’ Pavilion and enter to win the daily drawings. In addition to scratch-off tickets and Lottery subscriptions, this year’s daily drawings will include exclusive getaways that highlight the state’s 11 tourism regions.

“Once again, we’re showcasing travel destinations that are among the best New York State has to offer, including trips to our beautiful state parks, museums and historical attractions,” said Gardner Gurney, Acting Director of the Division of the Lottery. “These packages will be very sought after by attendees at the Great New York State Fair, and we urge attendees to enter to win each day.”

“We are very excited to collaborate with the New York Lottery to offer exciting trips to each of the state’s 11 regions,” said Gavin Landry, Empire State Development, Executive Director of Tourism "New York State has amazing destinations and through the New York Lottery's State Fair prize giveaways, locals and visitors alike can experience what we have to offer."

To be eligible for the prizes, players must purchase $10 or more of Lotto on one ticket to receive a Play the Fair voucher, scan the voucher at the Play the Fair kiosks at the New York Lottery Players’ Pavilion, and receive an entry into that day’s drawing.  At 5:00 p.m. each day, the Lottery will conduct a random drawing at the Players’ Pavilion to see which lucky Fair-goer wins. Players do not need to be present to win.

About the New York Lottery

The New York Lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $3.11 billion in fiscal year 2014-2015 to help support education in New York State.  The Lottery’s contribution represents 14 percent of total state education aid to local school districts.

New York Lottery revenue is distributed to local school districts by the same statutory formula used to distribute other state aid to education.  It takes into account both a school district’s size and its income level; larger, lower-income school districts receive proportionately larger shares of Lottery school funding.
