The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and partners will demonstrate common-sense “Don’t Be Salty, New York” practices to reduce salt use at homes, businesses, and other properties, while maintaining public safety. As part of New York State’s many efforts to prevent salt runoff from harming water quality, Warren County will also highlight innovative road salt-reduction strategies funded by a recent $250,000 grant.
