MEDIA ADVISORY: MTA MUSIC Returns to Subway System |

Musical performances affiliated with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (MTA) popular MTA MUSIC program will resume today for the first time since the start of the pandemic, 14 months ago. More than a dozen musical acts will appear in stations throughout the subway system to mark the first day of the program’s rebirth. Prior to COVID, MTA MUSIC featured 350 musical acts that put on roughly 12,000 performances annually. Musical styles range from classical to pop to R&B to ragtime piano to bluegrass.
