OGS TO CONDUCT VIRTUAL SURPLUS VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT AUCTIONS

Bidders Required to Preregister at www.scottperryco.hibid.com

The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) today announced the scheduling of live-streamed auctions for surplus vehicles and highway equipment located at five sites across the state.

Vehicle and equipment auctions are being conducted online following a decision earlier this year to suspend OGS live, in-person auctions as part of New York State’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The online auctions for surplus vehicles and equipment will be held virtually at www.scottperryco.hibid.com at:

  • 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17 for items in Hamburg, Erie County

  • 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24 for items in Batavia, Genesee County

  • 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24 for items in Pittsford, Monroe County

  • 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, for items in North Syracuse, Onondaga County

  • 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, for items in Central Islip, Suffolk County

Those interested in bidding during an auction will need to register online at  www.scottperryco.hibid.com.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no bidding will occur at the sites where the vehicles are stored, and requests for in-person inspections of vehicles cannot be accommodated.

Information on specific items and terms of sale are available at NYSStore.com. Under the terms of sale:
  • Pre-bidding and proxy bidding will be available once an auction catalog has been published online at scottperryco.hibid.com.
  • All payments must be made with a credit card through an online NYS secured payment portal. A link to the payment portal will be sent to the winning bidder.
  • A 13 percent buyers premium will be applied to all items sold at auction.
  • Full payment must be made within two hours of receiving an invoice.
  • Keys and titles (if applicable) will be mailed to winning bidders after their payment has been processed.
  • Vehicles and equipment sold at auction must be removed within five business days of the auction. Winning bidders are responsible for loading and removing purchased items during business hours.
  • All items are being sold on an as-is and where-is basis, and all sales are final.
