Five Trains Being Added to Saturday Schedule, Four Trains Being Added to Sunday Schedule Through Sunday, Nov. 7

Monthly Customers can Take Advantage of Autumn Weekends Program, Bring Up to Four Guests for $1.00 Each

Metro-North Railroad today announced more trains are being added to the Hudson Line weekend schedule as fall foliage season begins in the Hudson Valley. The New York State Fall Foliage Map shows that the Hudson Valley is just beginning to turn colors. With great weather forecasted this weekend, the railroad will add trains to its Saturday and Sunday schedules starting this Saturday, Oct. 2, to provide extra capacity.

On Saturdays, three Beacon-bound trains out of Grand Central Terminal making all stops between Croton-Harmon and Beacon are being added. In the afternoon, two additional southbound trains will be headed back to Grand Central. On Sunday, two northbound trains will be added in the morning, and two southbound trains will be added in the late afternoon between Beacon and Grand Central. These additional trains will supplement regular weekend service through Sunday, Nov. 7.

“The Hudson Valley is gorgeous year-round, but anyone familiar with the region knows the fall foliage season is in its own league,” said Catherine Rinaldi, President of Metro-North Railroad. “To encourage people to enjoy the great weather, beautiful views and destinations on the Hudson Line, we are adding trains to supplement our weekend schedule to provide more options and capacity for customers.”

Monthly customers can also take advantage of Metro-North's new Autumn Weekends program. Under the program, any Metro-North monthly ticketholder can travel to any Metro-North station, no matter the zone on their ticket, and take up to four additional guests with them for just $1.00 per person each way. Customers can also save with discount packages to Hudson River Museum and Lincoln Depot Museum, both located steps from Metro-North's Glenwood and Peekskill stations.

Metro-North reminds customers to check new.MTA.info, the MYmta.app, or Metro-North's TrainTime app prior to traveling.
