Office of Mental Health Extends Regional Centers of Excellence Listening Tour Hours in Ogdensburg |

In response to the large number of North Country residents wishing to attend and participate in the Office of Mental Health's Listening Tour, Acting Commissioner Woodlock extends hours.
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is eager to share our vision for strategically positioning state-operated services for the future and to listen to feedback from communities across the State. Our event in Ogdensburg on May 15th will provide an overview of the forces of change in the National and State health care systems as well as the opportunities for improving the North Country’s behavioral health system.
Over the past five weeks the statewide Regional Centers of Excellence Listening Tour has been well attended. Audiences have both learned about what the OMH vision is and what it is not. We have received diverse and valuable feedback to date and look forward to hearing from the North Country. In response to a very large number of registrations for the upcoming Listening Tour stop in Ogdensburg, Acting Commissioner Woodlock has asked that we extend the Wednesday, May 15, 2013 session to 1:00 p.m. The Ogdensburg listening tour will now run from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. In consideration of the significant number of citizens who have requested to speak, OMH asks that speakers summarize or prioritize the comments within a 2 minute time-frame. Individuals wishing to speak will be chosen at random via lottery.
